After Losing out in T20 World Championship , Captains have started blaming IPL for excessive Cricket being played .
Captains starting with MS Dhoni and Graeme Smith have blamed excessive cricket for their teams exit from T20 World Championship .
Well these Captains should be reminded that they are professional cricketers and its their full-time job till they retire.
Can an Employee working in any Company say to his boss that work-load is too much to handle ,so he needs a break every month ? Does that make sense ?
U Guys played IPL for money not for your countries pride , also there r players like Michael Lumb , Cameron White ,Shane Watson, Mahela Jayawardene ,Sangakara , Malinga , Pietersen etc they played in IPL and r playing Top-class cricket at T20 World Championship.
Captains and players who r professionals in their sports shud not talk about excessiveness , because thats what u need to do during your playing days i.e Eat Cricket Sleep Cricket and Dream Cricket ..... Its your full-time jobs Guys.
Accepted that players need rest to be fit , for that Selectors shud opt for 3 different Teams for Test , ODI and T20 so that every player is fit and can give best for his country . It also allows more and more Players to represent their country .
Also when T20 team was selected , IPL was on and the selectors did not wait and select performers , most who were selected didn't perform gr8 at IPL .
Did Yuvraj really make an impact in IPL3 ? no
Was Gambhir in form in IPL ? no
Did Dhoni play incredibly in IPL apart from one game ? no
Was Yusuf Pathan selection justified (just played one good knock in IPL) ?
Y was Jadeja selected ahead off , say Manish Pandey or few others who performed in IPL ?
When our Selection policy will change , where only current performance will count and not past performance ?
Selectors need to answer ...
Yes Sports is not always about winning , u win-some and lose-some . but looking by the body-language of some players it looked that there was no motivation to win . Yuvraj looked unfit (infact from IPL itself) , his body language was worst . Zaheer Khan also looked unfit .
