List of Universities/Institutions Accorded Post Facto Recognition by the DEC From the date of issue of Gazette Notification dated 1-3-95

In India , all Distance Education courses need to have Recognition from Distance Education Council(DEC) .
Recognition to all courses are given by Joint Commitee of  DEC , AICTE ,UGC.

Degrees Conferred by Universities prior to Establishment of  DEC should take Post Facto Recognition from DEC for employment in Government jobs .

So all Universities in India have to Compulsorily take this grant for Degrees Awarded before Establishment of  DEC till the date of  actual recognition sought for all courses conducted the the University / Institute.
